Spain doesn't have a President; they have a king. But they also have a President of the Government, who sort of acts like a Prime Minister but who everybody calls President. It's complicated. Zapatero's been in the position since 2004, and since taking office he's pulled Spain out of Iraq, legalized same-sex marriage, and passed laws against gender violence.

We put him on the list because, despite his demonic eyebrows, he seems to be one world leader who isn't hell-bent on making everybody else miserable.
