Archbishop Desmond Tutu
Birthdate: October 7, 1931
Location: South Africa
Occupation: Archbishop
Archbishop Desmond Tutu, the oldest person on our list, won the Nobel Peace Prize twenty-two years ago, and today he's still working to end injustice in the world. He promotes condoms, thinks that people should worry about better things than gay clergymen, and has openly spoken out against the US detainment center at Guantanamo Bay.
Here's the e-mail we got nominating Desmond Tutu:
"I met him in person and he is the CUTEST
thing you could ever imagine. i just wanted to squeeze him. and he
does lots of good things around the world."
So that's why he's on the list.
