Annie's debut album, Anniemal, has been out in the US for a year now, and hipsters everywhere are still dancing (this despite the fact that, as Ethan pointed out, she's just a blonde pop singer whose album cover happens to have a weird Peaches font). In October, she released a mix CD as part of K!7's DJ Kicks series.

She's on the list because she's probably the only dance-pop singer out there who goes out in public wearing Death From Above 1979 t-shirts. Also, Chewing Gum is one of the best songs ever.
